Overview In January 2015, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (formerly known as Citizenship and Immigration Canada) launched a new electronic system called Express Entry to manage applications for Canadian immigration programs. Canada is seeking for skilled professionals to meet current and future Canadian labour market needs, the development of the Express Entry system is the product of that. It is simply a system used to help with the selection and process of Canada’s immigration programs.
Express Entry allows Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to actively recruit, assess and select skilled immigrants under three following federal economic immigration categories:
1 The Federal Skilled Worker Class
2 The Federal Skilled Trades Class
3 The Canadian Experience Class
